Default CAN ANYONE HELP, SUPERCHARGER PROBLEM..

Hi all,

I know very little about engines or mechanics, I just like fast cars so I purchased a procharger D1SC supercharger 6 months ago.
After so many problems with belt slipping off.. The mechanic ordered a new custom pulley cos he was sure the pulley and supercharger weren’t running straight causing the belt to slip. When we put the new pulley on still it was not running straight.. After further examination the mechanic has come to the conclusion that the crank is bent at the end causing a 10mm(I think) difference causing the pulley not to be straight making the belt slip…
Now he told me that there’s only 2 ways his can happen..

If I had a serious accident at the front of the car which may have bent the crank.. NO ACCIDENTS EVER!
It come from ford with a bent crank, (maybe it got dropped in the production of the vehicle.. or something like that.. ??) [/ol]
He tells me he has never seen this before in his 30 yrs career. He told me to go to ford and buy a new crank..
Like I said I’m no mechanic that’s the reason why I’m paying him to do it but he made so many fu*k up’s I do know if I should trust him or not…?

I need advice.. Is this likely to happen?

Has this happened to yourself or anyone you know?

Any help or advice?

Thanks very much for your replies in advance.. this really is the last straw with the supercharger before it comes out and in the garbage.

Cheers.

Mark
