Default 302 cam lift

I have a early 70's model 302, it has factory valve springs. Whats the biggest lift it could handle without any kind of problems?

Low .400's. You'll also have problems with the rocker studs. I wouldn't go above .450 without springs and studs. My .484 cam pushed the studs out significantly within 500 miles.
