Default e-brake problem

hey everybody, i am new on here, but so far what i've seen and read on this site, i like. i own a 2003 mustang v6 that i have had since i bought it brand new and i havent had any mechanical problems with it ever until a few short weeks ago. this problem is dealing with the emergency brake light, and only the light, but either way it draws for concern as to why it comes on while i drive. depending on how warmed up the car engine is and how i drive depends if the e-brake light comes on and goes off. on cold mornings it takes forever for it to go off, even after im in drive and in motion. once the car is warmed up and i accelerate quickly and then suddenly take my foot off the gas pedal it sometimes goes off, sometimes it doesnt. the car doesnt stop suddenly or stutter, shut off etc and the ebrake works perfectly fine, so this isnt a major problem at all, but as previously mentioned it draws some concern since sometimes accelerating to speed it may come on. soi was wondering if someone on here could identify what may be going on here. driving at 65mph, the ebrake light shouldnt still be on if the brake isnt. thanks a bunch

Default RE: e-brake problem

I had a similar problem in a saturn once, it was a wire under the e-lever it was loose so hard braking would wiggle the wire and cause the light to then turn off.
