Default darn gas tank...

ok, anyone else having a problem filling their tank('07 GT/CS). i've different stations...car running/not running(yes i know about the possible check light coming on). it keeps limiting to 1-2 gallons only, and then that's it. usually have to be content with 1/2 to 3/4 full.

what is going on???thanks...dave

Dude..this is an 05, problem that was supposed to be fixed with the 06...but I have an 06 and the problems was there one time. Should not be a problem with the 07. Try tilting the nozzle 45 degrees when refueling. It worked for me the one time I had a problem and then it went away.

try a different pump as well, faster/higher volume pumps seem to be the main cause as the venting system for the tank would need a complete redesign(which would involve part of the car as well). The flow of gas through the crossover into both halves of the tank (much like the 89-97 T-birds) is overwhelming the vent system.

you already have the revised tank, there really is nothing that they can do except log your concern.

I always use the slowest setting for filling my tanks. You'll get the most consistent fill that way.

I guess we should all rush out and buy a new mustang...i really like the idea of never being able to get gas in it...that way i can enjoy my musty wet interior without having to leave the driveway.

...when ford gets bought out by toyota...they will then get it right.
