Default PlEASE take this Poll

What does everyone think of cutting their roof to put in a powered sunroof or moonroof? I hate verts and love T-tops! The targa kit is no longer and costed a fortune anyways. I have done a few sunroofs before! If I were to do this would any of you buy a Mustang GT that had this done to it if it looked descent and didn't leak! Assuming no chop jobs? Feedback people both good and cruel!..LOL

I'd only have a sunroof if it retracted into the roof itself. Anything else looks like $h!t.

My '79 stang had no sunroof & I added one. It was a cheap one but didn't leak. Too small for my liking & it felt flimsy. Nice to have a hole in the roof though!

My '86 GT had a factory sunroof & I liked it.

My current '02 is a VERT & trust me there ain't no comparison. On a nice day the whole top disappears not just a teeny sunroof. I've been a happy camper since I got it [8D]

In my opinion, sunroofs look OK on Fox body Stangs, they don't look right on anSN95/NewEdge. I'm not surprised Ford didn't offer factory sunroofs on these cars

I don't know if I have ever seen a SN with a sunroof. IMO it would be hard to find a sunroof that matched the curve of the roof on your car. I would only get the retractable kindif you can get it to look like a nice clean install.the pup up sunroofs are just gay

Factory sunroofs are great. Self-installed, JC Whitney, cut-a-hole-in-your-roof sunroofs generally look exactly like what they are.

Convertible FTW.

I put a sun roof in my truck, but I could never do it to my Mach.

A factory sunroof would be OK for ventilation. An add-on aftermarket part that didn't fit completely flush with the roofwould ruin the smooth top line of the car.

I guess if you didn't have A/C or didn't like using it, sunroofs MIGHT be appropriate. but if I remember correctly, there are holes on the sides of the care too.

I'm not a big fan of sunroofs. That's why I went with a vert although I hate loosing the added support / safety (especially when I gotto the430 rwhp mark). Of course, I added and changed a few parts to give the fram more support. So it's much better now.

Not so sure I like the looks of sunroofs.
