Default question

if i were to go with something like magnapacks i would want the full system with out the cats. i guess i would want something like 2 1/2 inch pipe. that would be enough even if i ended up throwing a supercharger on it right? where would be a good place to find some pipes like this?

Default RE: question

personally if i were to do a supercharger, i would do 3 inch pipe for the v8 and 2 1/2 for the v6, get headers and port match everything for the optimum gains, and keep the cat's, makes the car much more effiecient, and max gain off of losing them is 3 hp

Dude... 2 1/2 inch pipe is for a V6? I guess thats why Ford's FACTORY size pipe on a GT is for 2 1/4!!! 2 1/2" is good for up to 450hp. And how does the cats make the car more efficient??? If you are speaking of restriction that causes back pressure on the engine then you are talking about loss of performance and noe efficiency.

Default RE: question

cats complete the burn that fords are notorious for not finishing, why do you think they are the only company still running air pumps into thier exhaust?????? increased oxygen to finish the burn through the cats

Air pumps. WTF are you talking about?

I've gone over my whole exhaust and there's nothing there... By air pumps do you mean cylinder pressure?

EDIT: removed rtfm smiley
