Default Help!

I am looking at buying an 87 mustang gt. The peson who is selling it says that there is an 88 engine and tranny swapped into it with 87,000 miles on it, but the car itself as over 200,000. Does anyone know how I would be able to tell if the engine and tranny were actually swapped?

Are you doubting the seller? I guess if you can get the serial # off the engine maybe that'll tell you what year it is(?)

Just factor that into the price.
Around here I would expect an 87 GT with
numbers matching would go for $900-$1200
