Default speedo cable question

I wnet to advance auto part to get a new speedo cable to replace the missing one that is not there theguy told me thier is 2 to choose form a long one and short one ( whick is only 5 inches in length) . My car is a LX and autotrans and was a origial 4cy car . Which cable should I get ???? Would the long one work ?? Or do I need the shorter one ????

no cruise , no speed sensor there is a 76 in and a 95 inch but nobody at any autoparts store can tell me which lenght is for which applicaion

ok so what is a 95 inch cable be for???? never heard of those 2 sizes everyone is telling me 76 " or 95" even year one couldnt tell me. so you saying the lenth doesnt matter as long as the ends are right

in my catalog 83-91 w/o cruise use's only one cable, the one I have listed.

I'd say the 76" or 95" are the wrong cables.

even if it did have cruise that ones 67 1/2"

I have sold maybe 150 of these over the last 25 years working for Ford dealerships.

looks like they maybe a direct ship from vendor via Ford, there appears to be no local depots thathave any in stock.

so basically its back ordered form ford

My buddy who works at advance auto says he has a 71 1/2 inch on but is with cruise he says so I'll jsut pic that one up and if it worng he has a 76 inch also
