I have seen on ebay the eaton supercharger of a 03/04 Cobra for pretty cheap will it fit my 98 cobra?

I don't see why not but I don't know what you have to do to make it work

 

well I would like to know what i was getting myself into before i bought anything

 

some modifications I think it will work...they sit on the upper intake correct? They are not that strong of a supercharger tho if you put a pulley on them and try and up they boost they are good I would guess but they are not the best superchargers eaton is just a dealer supply because they are cost effective for manufacturers but I guess if you are looking to squeeze out just a little extra horses it would be fine.

 

how would a low boost s/c be with my 4.30 gears? I know the torque would be tremendous, but maybe with the low enough boost that it won't be overwhelming.

Also, how much are you find the Eaton's for?

Me thinking maybe on my 99 cobra they would be a good fit too. Hmmmmm.....

4.30 gears is a bit much...you need to find out what the max rpm of the s/c unit is ..ex..Irun a vort. s/c with a 16 psi pulley and 3.73 the unit is running about 46,000 rpm...max is 50k..so I'm really near the limit

 

I was just curious if maybe I left it at only 5psi and kept the boost down low or maybe go with a turbo since it won't give me the torque off the line. Just trying to get opinions. Thanks STK.

 

I'm wondering the same thing. I just bought a stock 1998 cobra and wanna buy a 03-04 supercharger. Does anyone no if the lower intake manifold fit the 98 romeo engine off a 03-04 cobra? I am willing to try this setup and take a chance trying to get it to fit. Any info would be great. Thanks
