If we liked HP better than torque wouldn't we all be driving japanese cars that rev real high to produce higher HP?

well that truck prolly runs 18's in the 1/4 too... believe what you wanna believe... no skin off my back. and as far as those japanese cars that rev real high.. well they... like an s2000 per se that rev's to 9k... it only has 180 hp

and yes its torque that give you grunt, but explain to me why... ahh sh*t here try this..

see that ^^????? thats a dyno graph from a modded mustang Cobra... can you tell me why... when this car makes peak torque at 3700 rpm... does it it pull like a raped ape on crack at 6000 rpm? And how come when your mustang makes peak torque at 3000 rpm it pulls harder when you stomp it at 5k?

I actually love it every once in a while when mdvaldosta and I dissagree. We had a nice debate a month or two ago about superchargers.

ok vfast, if hp is a measurement of how much work torque is doing, then explain to me why hp don't matter (since your saying torque is whats important)
