On an 89 GT I would probably look to buy a donor car
as the price of that age is about $1000-1600. I would
probably take that on mine (auto).
You need to install the clutch pedal, not sure of
the trans mount, not sure of the computer.
You would almost need to see a stick car to see
all the pieces.

Having just done this...Let's see if I can remember everything you need.

Pedal assembly, adjustable cable, quadrant, firewall adjuster, speedometer cable, cross-member, reverse light adapter, trans, clutch, flywheel, clutch fork, a shifter, and a few band-aids for your knuckles for when you do the pedal swap. And of course all the appropriate mounting hardware.

I'm pretty sure thats about it.

Edit: In response to the above post. You do not need to change the computer.

Don't you need to replace some plasticinterior console parts too? The job is quite involved, don't even consider doing it unless you are able to do the work yourself. If you need to also pay a mechanic $'s to do it then it's waaaaayyy cheaper to sell the car & buy a 5-speed

The only thing you need to buy for the interior pieces is the shifter boot, everything else works fine. You do need to cut about an inch of the tunnel. I just bought the Hurst shifter and cover plate. It all fits together and looks pretty good too.

Keep the auto and put a big stall in it, you'll be beating most 5 speeds.

I'm not sure but think I've heard others say some shops would charge around $1000-1500 just for the labor. Add the cost of all the parts & the total price can start hitting +$3000

If you can't do your own installation then the cost is not worth it.. cheaper to sell your car & buy a stick
