how to i take my stalk radio out i have a 2004 gt

 

pull the plastic trim off from around the radio/ac controls/cig lighter area, unplug the cig lighter and the plugs for the trac control etc. two bottom screws and a couple plugs in the back.

 

that's a hell of a lot easier than getting one out of an older Fox mustang! LOL

 

I forgot my car had a radio after I did my exhaust so I had to upgrade the radio recently...

You know they say:

If you can hear the radio, your exhaust isn't loud enough... and if you can hear your radio and your exhaust IS loud enough... your gonna go deaf [8D]

roundman, you're kidding about foxes being harder right? or do you mean a lot older than mine and yours?

 

my '88 GT was a pain in the *** to get out. I made the tool like they said but couldn't get it to catch for the longest damn time but finally got it out after many tries and much cussing. probably should have went down the street to the car audio place and borrowed the right tool I guess.

 

heheh, i got a cd player put in my 83 stang after i bought it. Boy, were the guys at bestbuy stumped. They had like 3 guys trying to figure out how in the world to get the old tape deck/radio out. And they had to make a custom cut to put the new one in. I had to leave the car overnight..

 

the guys at best buy burned my freinds car to the ground. it really needed it. i am serious
