Default Watch Alarm Sound

I have been driving my 97 GT for about a month now and have been hearing a sound similar to that of a watch alarm going off. It's not a loud noise, it comes and goes. Sometimes it's hard to detect because it's so short in duration.

I am trying to see if there is a pattern when I hear it. So far it seems to be occuring when I press on the gas pedal around 50-55 mph.

It has nothing to do with the stereo system because I turned off the power but it is coming from somewhere in the dash.

I have never purchased a used vehicle before so I don't completely trust it. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this?

Could be low turn signal fluid...

OR........

My '93 Probe GT was making a sound like that. Turned out to be an airbag malfunction warning. Good 'ol ford fixed it for free for me... i was suprised.

I would check the manual for alarms. Sounds like the air bag alarm to me too.

I have checked the manuals and the only thing listed for air bags is for when you first turn on the ignition and listen for chimes and the idiot lights to come on.

This noise only occurs while driving.

Turn signal fluids? I went through the owner's manual and a repair manual and there was nothing about turn signals needing fluid. How did you learn about this?
