I have a 2006 gt conv. and I need to get rid of that seatbelt chime its driving me crazy! I herd there is some crazy programing you can do with pluging the belt in and out and turning the lights on and off. Has anybody had it work and if yes what is the procedure?

 

alright, dunno how it is for 2005+ but on my 99 i have disabled this. The trick behind it is, when the latch is out, it is completing a circuit and turning the seat belt light on and setting the chime off. Is what i did was take the sleeve off the belt buckle, and bend the metal flap at the seat sensor back on itself, this permanently disabled the seat belt sensor. Oh and its not my fault if you forget to buckle up

i know there is a list of things u do that will signal the system to turn that off, but i dont remember.......i did it on my car...have u checked ur car manual though? it would probably be in there

 

ive got an 03 and there is an electrical clip under the seat contected to the seatbelt holder just undo that and you are good to go. no lights no chimes ever again
