Default Convertible top stitching material---

I posted this in the convertible specific forum but no one seemed to know. What is used to stitch the lining of the convertible tops from Ford specifically an SN95 model? The original "thread" is slowly coming undone on the passenger side.

The fox bodies must have done something different, Ive owned a vert fox body as well. There is stitching that shows on the outside of the convertible top on the SN95 years when looked at closely enough. anyone else have an idea?
