I just bought my car and was wondering how many miles you guys get on a tank i have a 92 5.0 thanks

 

In town I get maybe 150 to a takn because I can never get my foot off the gas. On the highway I average about 350 to 400. Thats with the stock rearend also.

 

if you drive somewhat agressively but not like a maniac and cruise the interstates at 70 mph, you should be able to average around 17-18 mpg or so. but you can easily get only 12-13 mpg if you have a heavy right foot and drive like a jack rabbit away from every stop you make too.

 

we knock down about 22 on the highway

i heard peeps say that they got an average of 300

 

I think in my cars case it was more in how many gallons per mile. I got around 7 in the city, around 12 highway.

 

you must have a very very big and heavy right foot there Isaac!
i got over 330 miles out of a tankful on a long distance trip from Richmond to Englishtown, NJ back when the rear gear was still 2.73!

 

Only in town. More or less my gearing/tranny combo is making it horrible.

 

I though I was bad with 10 mpg around town
