Default functional hood scoop kit

i saw on the internet that there is a kit that will make the hood scoop on my gt functional, the way it works is you cut the honeycomb out and put in the carbon fiber piece that brings the air down to an air box that you install instead of the normal stock setup, i was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this kit, or had one and was happy with it or thought it sucked

Those are a waste of money! Go to www.tunableinduction.com and spend your money wisely.

why is it a waste of money, wouldnt it be better to pull air from above the hood than from the fender, or is there something functionally wrong with them or what? plus it would just be cool to have something that tricked out.

air is not dense enough to be forced into the engine with out a sc or turbo. the air in the fenderwell is just as cool as on the hood. whatever difference there maybe be, its not much. with a hood scoop you have to worry about leaves and rain going in there. a ram air set up is only going to add a couple of hp and thats about 100mph. save your money and get something usefull
