Default How bad is it?

Drag radials and rain....

Since my accident I drive like an old lady every time the weather turns just a little bit, but ive never driven on DRs before. What can I expect this summer, since my TA will be my daily driver. Thanks guys

DR's in the rain is an insanely stupid combination [:@] you run the risk of hydroplaning even at SLOW driving speeds,, I'm talking about 25-30mph.

Don't be LAZY. Once you're done racing take the DR's off & put on DOT street tires. That'll also make your DR's last longer.

..unless you're one of those impulsive street racers that want to have the DR's on at all times??

With my BFG's they are fine....until the tread wears down, then are not so great. The M/T's are not good in wet conditions even new, Nitto's are good because they wear so slowly.

I just saw some Mickey Thompson radials at the speed shop.
They looked very rain friendly.
The saleman there said they are not as good for drag racing as a drag radial but a great comprimise for true daily drivers. Only 15 and 18" available so far.

the Nitto DRs are pretty good in the rain, ive been caught in the rain a few times with no problems and my friend never had any problems with his either, even when the tread got low. Just drive sensible and you'll be fine.
