My front bumper on my '02 GT is all cracked up and I have to replace it. How much is it going to run me to have a garage or body shop paint and put a new bumper on it (assume they buy the parts). Also, I can buy the bumper for about 200 online, would a garage allow me to bring my own bumper and have them paint it and install it? I know this is all situational but what neighborhood am I looking at for price here?

 

I dont see why they wouldnt let you do that.

I would have Maaco do it for you in their 2 stage kit (Its the best they offer) it will probably run you another $200 to have it done but at least it will match...

You would actually be way better off finding one on ebay that is in good condition and your color and buying that one. Also not all aftermarket are Urathane like OE is, most are plastic molded.

I would try to find one on ebay.

When you said it is cracked. You mean the paint?
This is typical for plastic.
The paint needs to have a flex agent put in to
prevent paint spider webs in the future.

The bumper can be stripped and repainted
usually for $250 on
the car.

 

I mean the bumper's plastic is all cracked up completely, it's body damage. I have to replace the whole thing
