hi i was wondering how much cash it would cost for me to do a v6(mine) engine swap to a cobra(engine) like the whole ordeal, (i.e parts, install)??????

P.S oh and if anyone is bored or has the time to tell me what i would need in general to buy i.e parts, thanks

Well, you said 2000 and up. That limits you to a 2001 or 2003-04. There is a big range in price between the two, both in initial cost for motor/tranny and what would be needed for the swap.

 

ok so lets say i go looking for 2001

 

03-04: Iron block, forged internals, supercharged 390hp
99-01: Alum. block non forged, non-supercharged 305hp

 

hmm the 03-04 iron block whats the price?
oh and what else would i need? in order to install this?

 

ive been doing some searching on fordracingparts.com and i was wondering if i got the 2004 cobra engine is it worth the conversion or am i better off selling my mustang and going out to buy the 2004 cobra?

i was thinking about it and well if the engine costs me around 10g's US and i pay for it to be installed im still not near the amount a 04 cobra costs which is about 54,000 Canadian plus taxes......
