Default HELP - problems with 02 Mustang

Hello all - A little new to this Forum and from "Down under" (Australia)

I have a 5.6L MY02 quad cam Mustang that I fitted a Vorte supercharger to, The thing make 500hp now EASY..

Problem is now that at speeds above 150km/h the car wants to lift off the ground. Where can I source a rear wing and front body moulds to help stabilise the car at high speed?

Also, looks like I've damaged my 5 speed Maual gear box with the power. What gear box conversions are available for the Mustang that will hold the power? (car has to stay street driveable)

Nothing is available here in Australia so any help would be greatly appreciated. (any vendors feel free to email me direct damian.zanetti@au.unisys.com but am interested to hear all soments.

thanks .

The Cobra R kit is what you need.

First off, welcome to the forums. A couple points about areodynamics. First, the main reason your car gets 'light' in ther front end is your stock hood is acting like a parachute, causing a lifting effect. If you get an aftermarket hood with large vents it will greatly improve the 'lightness' of your car at speed. A wing will help a little, but mostly it will provide stability and not help the lightness feeling that much in front. The best hood for speed you can get is probably the Saleen S281E hood. It has huge vents. An areo kit will help stability a lot. Again, the best body kit for speed and areodynamics is probably Saleens.

Also, looks like I've damaged my 5 speed Maual gear box with the power. What gear box conversions are available for the Mustang that will hold the power? (car has to stay street driveable)

Like someone said above, get the T56 tranny. It can take big hp, and is designed to do so. With the power you'll be makin' with that 5.4 blown motor will need this tranny.

First, if you can, lower your car & put a Mach 1 chin spoiler on. Also, if you don't mind you can remove your fake hood scoop....

Aussies have lower emissions and MOG requirements like us in the states. So they get bigger badder engines. For being the home of the "American Muscle Car" we have some of the weakest cars around the world.
