I'm switching to a manual setup, and I know what is involved and how to do it. I just was wandering if anyone else has done this to see if there are any hidden problems that I should know about. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

I rebuilt a 79 coupe and converted to a 5speed. I did it in about 5 hours in the driveway . Just make sure you have all the parts first. Dont forget the 5speed crossmember. Good luck

 

If you can do the work yourself & get a good deal on the parts then, yes it's doable. If you need to pay a garage to do the work for you it'll cost a fortune
