Default engine hoist question

i just put this here becuase it seems like more people come in here than the other sections and im desperate

well, i got an engine hoist from school so i can pull the 351W out of the thunderbird and put it in the stang over break. well, i assembled it and tried to extend the cylinder, but it wont budge. the plug in the bottom is tight and i am going the entire range of motion of the handle. i think it is low on fluid. does anyone know how to fill the cylinder with hydraulic fluid?
