the timing sould be good. someone seems to think it is not hitting on one of the cyclinders. reading some of the problems on this site there seems to be a lot of mustangs doing this. i have a 94 V6 convertable with 75000 original miles. never had to do anything but maintenance until know. it started over heating and heat would blow cold air, fixed that with head gaskets them manifold and donut gasket. is just kept running worse. now to keep it running when you first start it until it warms up you have to give it gas.

Can you give me some more specific information? Please verify this list and add to it so I can get some thoughts organized here

-Wants to stall-Its idlign rough I suppose, correct?
-Lacking power- Is it lacking power or is it just sluggish/hesitating?

Replaced head gaskets, intake gaskets etc... did it do this before you did the work? Lacking power could defiently be due to a blown head gasket, and a rough Idle is a vacuum leak most of the time on a stock car.

Also, where are you buying gas? Please give any other information on symptoms if you can

Thanks
Jim

checked vacuum leak thats good. head was milled and magnaflexed, it is lacking power until you get speed up, once the computer was reset it ran fine for a mile or so them it started again. timing is great, used to put 83 oct in it until i noticed the power loss, then i started using at least 93. it started doing this before the work but it wasnt as bad. its been drove about 1100 miles in a year thats how bad it got. lacks alot of power until you get speed. once you stop it starts all over.
