unfortunetly all good heads cost a lot of money, and people around here run a 150 shot on a stock bottom end with no problems

 

get some gears and a midpipe first then bump up your timeing and enjoy

Some GT40 heads would would be cheap and get you some power, but cost to power ratio theirs better out there. grampa up there ^^ made some good suggestions

 

I nice shot of juice, like you suggested, will do you great, especially of you do other mods like heads, gears, and exhaust.

 

gears will give you the biggest bang for the buck in the seat of your pants for sure. then exhaust work like equal lenght shorty headers with a good cat back exhaust 2.5" with an off road H-pipe if you don't have emission tests to pass.

 

Dont go cheap with some heads, spend your money ONCE. Get something good like AFRs or Canfield, too much hassle not to put the good stuff on the first time, throw a cam in it while your at it

Everyone need smore horsepower, I just went ahead and bought a 175 shot from nitrous works for my 331 stroker, so If you wont power for cheap i'd say go nitrous, but thats me.
