Centerforce=suck?
Centerforce=suck?
My buddy just got it put in his 02' SS and it f*cked up after like 1,000 miles if that. I guess the shop that put it in said to go with a SPEC clutc and that Centerforce is junk. Is there any truth to this, that Centerforce sux?

with a centerforce they either work or they dont, as for spec, spec make great clutches for all kinds of power ranges although the pedal is stiff they hold the power great. As for the centerforce problem just ask OB he has experience with centerforce
Yeah I second the Mcleod or Spec idea...
Highly don't suggest going with Centerforce, I've already had my experience with them
Wasn't plesent at all...
Bought the clutch early August(this year)
Installed it like Mid August(this year) and did the annoying 500mi break in period.
1.5 Months later, the clutch was slipping so horribly bad...
Still is now, havnt changed it since then.

I love my new spec stage 2, it grabs like crazy. Oh about a 500 mile breakin, their is no such thing as a breaking in on a clutch, torque converter, trany, only a breakin on engines. a clutch in a race car doesnt see 500 miles of slow driving ever to break it in, and the clutch holds up fine. The clutch will last as long as it lasts, just go drive it and have fun.
