Default Question on my AEM intake

I have a 2001 GT manual and just put my first mod on it. It was a AEM cold air intake. After putting it on I felt the power go up in top speed but my trottle response feels worse? Did I do anything wrong or is it time for a throttle body and plenum?

Thanks

check your tps. it may have been loose and you jolted it w/ your hand when you put the piping from the intake onto the tb. if its not that......id say its the intake. i put my BBK fenderwell mount on, and felt a MAJOR increase from idle-wot and all the way in between.

try diconnecting the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes to let the ECU reset it's memory and see if this doesnt' help out some.

TPS is "throttle position sensor" it's attached to the throttle shaft and is a variable resistor which varies the output voltage signal as the throttle moves from open to closed and sends this signal to the ECU which used is to control the engine functions.

Best performing throttle body and plenum combo is the Accufab 70mm and Accufab Polished plenum combo available from www.mustangtuning.com They are expensive though, so if you want to make almost the same amout of power, get the Trick Flow plenum and bbk 70mm throttle body from www.summitracing.com
