Default Is is alright for me to do a Cold Air intake?

Hey guys,I have a Stock 01 GT with a catback. Someone told me that if your engine is not modified you should get a bigger throttle body and mess with the intake system to gain HP well then how do you gain it because this car is sometimes a daily driver and Supercharger is to much money right now.And another thing someone told me the Cold air inductions can get water in them.

Please help me

Should not have a problem with adding CAI, and they look cool to. As far as water in them, this should not be a problem unless you drive through the creek or something like that.

If you get a CAI then you shouldn't have a problem with water un less you buy one of those ram air kits that go all the way down to your bumper, and then go through a flooded road or something.

yea cai are good, cheap mods to do. they look real good and they take in less hot air from the engine compartment.

i bought a cai kit off ebay and it didnt come with instructions, its not hard to figure out though, just mock up the filter to a pipe, to some sensors to another pipe, to throttle body. run the filter down into the fender well. fit everything and make sure its all lined up and all sensors are in. tighten down, polish, and enjoy better mpg, torque, and hp; although not much power is to be expected. i think my cai with polished aluminum pipes looks real nice under the hood.
