Default Keyless Entry Troubles

I just got this 1998 gt. and i wanted the factory keyless on it...

so i went to the dealership and they told me that my car wasn't equipped with keyless entry..

so i did 5 mins worth of reserach and discovered the control module in my trunk.

went on ebay and bought a transmitter... and now i cant find out why my system isn't working

if you turn your ignition on and off 8 times. your locks will jump up and down. then when they do that your suposto hit the lock button on your transmitter.

but my locks don't jump.

help please... perhaps its a fuse or something, either way i need a fuse diagram for a 1998 gt!

help help help help help help

If you bought a random transmitter you have to have the dealership program it.

yeah i did that. the process doesn't work whenever they try to do it.i've been trying to find a malfunction in the system wiring or something. i pulled the door panels off to examine the wiring. but i can't find any aftermarket jobs.... and everything is still wrapped in ford tapes and all orig...

i've pulled every fuse out of the slots and examined for damages and pops.

i just really want the system to work.

there should be a plug in the left side of the trunk behind the panel, short the pins together with a blade pug or needlenoe or whatever. The locks will cycle, press the unlock button and then remove the short, you should be good to go. If that doesn't work, you car might not have the option. I did this on my 95 and my 96 mustangs.
