Default Rear axle

I road race my Mustang GT. My rear axle ends are leakingall over the wheels and rear brakes.
I have had advice about a c-clip eliminator kit, but they say that it is not good for road racing.

Basically I want to stop my axles from moving within the rear axle housing, which should also fix my brake pads wearing uneven in the rear.

I have not found anyone who can put the 9" style axle ends on 8.8" axles and still be able to use ABS.

Anybody done this any advice or contacts?

Also, while I have the rear axle out, do I go for the 5 link steeda suspension, or Torque arm with Panhard bar.

Default RE: Rear axle

Alot of people have been loving the Griggs set up over the steeda 5link for the rearend setup. I run a panhard on mine which I like. I was also thinking about a griggs and have been doing research on it. Its about 300 dollars cheaper then a 5 link.

And dependeing on the type of racing some classes dont allow removal of the clip. I know im in SCCA ESP and can not remove the cclip

IMO absolutley dont get the c-clip eliminiaters... They are really hard to keep them from leaking. LaRoccos down the street from me told my friend that they would change his gaskets for the c-clip eliminators but will not garentee that they dont leak again. They are notorious for leaking. I have them on my car and tried everthing except for welding them to the rear....lol
Not sure what year your car is but there is a bearing and seal in the end of the axle tube that probalbe needs to be replaced. You might even have to replace the axles depending on how they look. They could have a grove where the bearing rides. They say when a car sits for a long period of time it will develop flat spots in the bearings which will wear out the axle.
