convertible stripes

i was wondering what an 87-92 convertable with racing stripes would look like. does anybody have any pictures? is it even possible to pain a convertable top or would you even paint it?

you could paint it. doubt it would last long. defenitely wouldnt be glossy

I think you can dye or use that vinyl spray on the top but uh yea I dont think it would last or match the stripes on the car very well. The striped verts I've seen never messed with the top

if you do stripes on a convertible, just leave the top out of it, just like you would a window

ok. i went to google and found some with verts with racing stripes. none of them had there top painted and they still looked good.

i'd leave the top alone, most striped verts dont' bother with the top.

do the stripes the color of the conv. top. for example, a red car with saddle top, do saddle stripes. if it is black on black, just do the color stripes you want but dont do the stripes on the top.

I wouldn't stripe the roof of any car. Hard top, or Convertible.

stripe the whole thing, windows, top bottom...wheels, it'll be fat and will go good with a fart can exhaust

I would leave the top alone...but see if u can find one of those hard sporty tonneu(spl?) cover and paint that the color of your car with the racing stripes....looks good IMO
