Default Adding acetone to your gas?

Has anyone heard of this? The rumor is that adding 2 oz. to 10 gal of gas will improve mileage up to 20%. I find this very hard to believe but thought I'd ask on here.

Check out that thread. A bunch of us are trying it out. It's 3 oz per every 10 gallons of gas and it is supposed to yeild up to a 35% increase in mpg.

Saw it on Mythbusters. They precisely measured the
amount of gas and drove till it ran out.
They found NO CHANGE or EVEN POORER mileage with
the Acetone. Also the magnetic ionizer does NOTHING.
They also tried water injection, NO GO.

I would think, if it worked wouldn't more people do it? wouldn't they add it to the pump gas? wouldn't they sell it as an additave at the store?

I did not get any results either. My milage came out the exact same number as before I had added the acetone. I wish I had known this was on mythbusters I would have not even bothered.

I dont think anything will ever help our gas mileage. We drive mustangs not hybrids! lol Im sick of getting ripped off by **** like the "Tornado gas saver" piece of **** like everything else. Either way im not putting any additive in my mustang... unless its nos. lmao
