Default chin spoiler

i installed my mach 1 chin spoiler this morning and the self tapping screws i got from autozone wont fit the chin spoiler flush with the bumper, 1/8-1/4 inch gap. should i get some 1/4' bolts and nuts to fit and bolt it on?

if you lined it up to the wheel wells, its notgoing to be flush in the front becasue its not made to be. using differnt bolts wont change the shape of the spoiler - (unless you really pull and force it)

i didnt mean flush with fornt of bumper, i meant flush against bumper. it doesnt touch the bumper because the screws have a gap before the self tapping part begins. i have it lined up with the wheel wells anyhow though. if i get bolts and nuts, it will fit flush against bumper though.

oh i see, didnt get what you mean - in that case i guess bolts would probably do a decent job just make sure they are stainless - dont want em rusting too fast,,,

when you say 1/4" bolts, do you mean the length or the width. i am going to install mine soon and need to know how many bolts to get and what size,

thanks

1/4" bolts width and 1" length should work fine. thats what i did, it has some overhang but it makes it easier for install and bolts dont stick out under spoiler. get some nuts to fit, make sure thread count is thhe same, and youll be fine. it cost me 3 bucks for the hardware.
good luck with your install and enjoy the chin spoiler.

I think I used 8 or 10. Don't really remember. Don't really need too many.

it had 17 slots for bolts, so i used em all,. that makes it have the cleanest fit all around imo.
