Default Beeping Noise

On my way home today I heard a weird beeping noise thatwas coming from the drivers side dash area. It seemed to be beeping in a pattern like once every 30 seconds but then it stopped and beeped at random and even beeped twice at one point. I thought it was my cell phone at first but I heard it again after I turned it off. I turned off my radar detector too and I still heard it. No idea what it is. It was a noise I've never heard before not like the seat belt chime or the beep you get if you leave the key in the ignition. Any idea what it could be?

Take it to a dealer. I was able to take my 93 there a few times for a raod test of the trans, no charge. Theyll probably want to check for codes, just get a parts store to do that, its free.

I found some posts on here simular to mine about a weird beeping noise and they said it was the SRS system. These were all posts by people with older 5.0's though so I don't know if it would be the same for mine. It also said it would be b/c the air bag light was out but mine comes on like normal. I dunno it hasn't done it again since but it was just really weird. I hope theres nothing wrong with my airbags that would not be good.

Does the airbag light go off after the car is started? It should go out in a few seconds but if it flashes while driving, a series of beeps while driving, or comes on/stays on while driving, the airbag needs serviced, dont wait. Take it to the dealer as soon as possible. It may just need a reset or the bags computer shorted out, who knows.

I had a weird beeping from under the driver seat once.. turns out it was an old wristwatch that I "thought" I lost a few weeks earlier I haven't heard it till then because ususally the sterio is cranked lol.

Funny thing about that.. I was actually on my way to the store to buy a new wristwatch when the old one beeped
