Default Steeda Timing Adjuster

How easy is it to adjust your timing on your own without having any knowledge of doing it? Is there a guide to follow that comes with the kit? Is the timing adjuster worth buying if you know nothing about it?

Does a tuner automatically adjust your timing for you though? From my understandings the timing adjuster is manually adjusted with a small tool to your personal setting.

Check it out. In order to adjust the timing adjuster you loosen three allen screws and the little sprocket on the outside of the pully will turn left and right freely. Then there is numbers on a stationary wheel thats held on to the pully by the crank bolt and it has numbers on it. You turn the sprocket and line up slash mark to the desired number on the stationary wheel such as 14 for 14 degrees advanced. It doesnt automatically adjust for you. 99+ GT's shouldnt be adjusted over 14 degrees advanced because the engine will often surge really hard making it a real pain to launch or drive at low speeds. Pre 99 models can be adjusted up to 16 degrees advanced beause the compression ratio is different.

Here is a link to the install so you can get a picture to what im talking about.

Steeda Timing Adjuster install.
