Default Trans problem??

Hey guys whats up?
I just got my mustang a few weeks ago after driving it a few days I noticed that its shifts kinda hard. Esp when i Shift into 2nd. (its a 5 speed)
I also noticed the clutch is stiff as hell and engaging kinda high. It would also thump/hit (not grind) when i come to a stop and go to put it in 1st or 2nd.
I figured it prolly just needed a clutch job. I had it checked out by 2 places they agreed. So i picked up a king cobra clutch kit, and had it put in.
When i got it back it seemed to be taken care of. The clutch was softer and the shift was smoother, but after a few days and a couple burnouts the same things are comming back. So Im kinda confused any thoughts on what the problem might be?
thanks in advance.

Hey sorry about that. its a 2000 GT
Ummm whats your defintion of completly abusing..haha.
Ive done a a handful of 1st and 2nd gear burnouts. But all short ones...like 3 seconds. No powershifting or anything..ihavent even really redlined it that much. Does that help??

if ur linkage is stock pull up on the clutch pedal and it should self adjust. If that doesnt work u might need a new clutch cable.
