How Fuel Injection Works?
Ok.................I put an older 302 motor in my 92 mustang gt, the motor I pulled was an HO 302 and the motor that I put in is a 1971 model 302 NON ho. Has different firing orders, so............ My dad says: if I wiring the plug wires up the way the firing order is suppose to be then it will work fine, which would be wiring them up like the non ho motor..............I say: It will not work fine because the pcm is programed for the HO firing order and it will not get fuel at the right time. If it was wired up like he was saying then, it would get the spark at the time of the non ho firing order and get fuel at the time of the ho firing order.............????? which is right?

RE: How Fuel Injection Works?
you would have to rewire the signal leads for the injectors just like the spark plug wires, but you're right, it would absolutely not work unless you did both of these.

RE: How Fuel Injection Works?
If you rewire both (spark plugs and injectors) you'll still have a problem in fuel control.......change the cam for the M50, and you won't have to mess with either wiring......you might want to read ... http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=92 and explain it to your dad.
