will cause more harm than good, they work by "tricking" the ecu into thinking IAT temps are different than what they really are. Technically they would work, but the odds of getting the right resistor is slim to none with those slimeball eBay sellers as the "20 hp eBay chip" is nothing but a $.10 resistor scam that likely isn't even the right ohms.

My advice, don't even consider it.

I would stay away from performance parts at Ebay in the first place.

i kno they arent good and kno how they work and kno all about ohms and electrical garbage but just wondering if ne one has tried one cuz 20hp is a lot and would it hurt that bad to use it once down the track not to drive with it on i think just "tricking" ur engine for 14 secs cant hurt that bad

They trick you car into thinking it is around 50* out. I can't see that possibly giving you 20 hp.

A guy that use to work with me had one on his 98 GT. He said it didn't do much. I belive him because he was really a ricer driving a mustang (the ricestang as i called it), and ricers usually exagerate performance gains.

I wouldnt do it but.............

If you insist on trying it let me save you a few bucks and tell you to go to radioshack and buy a bulk of resistors for like a buck and then try them.No wait for shipping and it didnt cost you but a buck. But im telling you it doesnt do anything but waste gas.I have a RICER buddy with a CELICA whom i tried to persuade out of this and he went ahead with it anafter it arrived and he put it in there was no difference at all.

I then to be a smart *** bought him a package of resistors from radioshack for a buck. After that he listened a little more LOL.
