Default Pics of hood blackout

I've been trying to order the hood blackout for my '99 35th Anniversary Limited Edition GT, and this is the second one that is wrong. Since the original hood decal was blown off in a car wash (hubby will never wash a car again!) I don't have anything to compare to, but I know there were no 'notches' cut out on the original. (This last one has three notches cut out on the end that goes against the hood scoop; one on the end and one on each side.)

Does anyone have a good close-up picture of the blackout hood decal that was on the 35th Anniversary Edition?

(I hope there is someone out there who can respond quickly...I have to send this decal back and try to order the correct one.)

Ya larn somethin new every day...

This blackout goes UNDER the hood scoop, thus the length and notches.

Dumb Blonde Alert!!!

sawz-all...

Swing by a ford dealership's parts department and see if you can look at an exploded view of the hood. You can see if you missed any bolts or connections. It probably just has wax etc holding it together though.

I would consider finding a good paint shop and having the pattern painted. Then, hubby can't wash off the decal.
