Horn Help Needed.
Ok so when I got the car, the horn did not work.
I took the cover off, and I can hear the electricity hitting and making a tapping sound, but no horn.
I have an aftermarket horn kit, with the motor, 2 horns, a relay or some kind of switch thing, and the tubes.
I have a couple of questions, my first is, where is the motor and horn located at on a stock 1988 mustang gt convertible?
Second, do I need the relay thing that came with the aftermarket horn? The motor itself has a negative and positive hookup, and I will hook it up to a toggle switch.
Please respond and I will answer any questions if I left any details out, thanks.

You have checked the fuse for the horn and cig lighter?
I think the horn is under the driver's headlight.
If you apply 12 vfolts directly to the horn and
it does not blast, just replace the horn.
Keep the relay for later.
How difficult was it to get off the wheel skin?
I need to fix my horn button.

And I am talking about a brand new, never used horn you buy at an auto parts store, this is what I have. http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/8623/dscn1725lt8.jpg
the wheel skin comes off very easy, it's just 3 plastic prongs
If you cig lighter works then there is power
to the horn.
I would just locate the horn and change out the
horn with the new one.
Connect neg terminal to the ground mounting
bracket and old horn wire to the new 12 volt terminal.
Usually the horn problem is the wheel button. In
my case the button is shorted and the horn starts blasting
when I park the car by itself.
Don't be surprised if the new horn sounds a little anemic.

Was taking pictures of what I believe is the stock amp, still need to find out, and figured I would take some of the horn button.
