B/E-303 Cams?
My 5L has a standard firing order (old 302 order) and I was looking at 303 camshafts and was wondering what firing order these cams used. Or if one can even be used in a standard fire motor.
I am putting my 5 liter in an old 51 Merucy pick-up that weighs about 3000 lbs. with a C-4 autoand 4v carb. Trying to figure out if one of these 303 type cams would work for my application?
If so, which cam do you all think would be a good choice? I don't have to worry about emissions, so that's not a concern. I was looking at the E-303 and the B-303.
I would not mind a little more power or a little lope at and idle.
Please clue me in, I really like all the knowledge I am learning here, great site.
Thanks, Keith

Fora carb'd engine, the firing order won't matter. Just make sure the spark plug wires are routed properly.
List the cam specs and we'll be able to tell you which may be better. Don't feel like looking them up.
