What kind of smoked headlamps do you have? The aftermarket smoked glass fixture or just light covers/tints?

With stock headlight bulbs, tints/covers will incredibly reduce your nightvision.

Did you really get HIDs or did you get the cheap substitute aftermarket bulbs?

HIDs generally are wider spread than stock headlights. It's just the way the headlamps are reflecting. Not much you can do about it.
