Default Seat belts

This is going to sound stupid and I really didn't know where to post it, so I figured here was best.

I have a 2000 mustang and my seat belts are driving me insane. They don't retract well and when they do they are a pain to pull out, so I was wondering if there was something for this problem I could use to make them slide around easily.

I assume this is probably an unusual problem considering my bro has a 2001 mustang and his seat belts are perfect, I just wish mine worked as well as his. Anyways, any suggests would be appreciated, I'd really rather not replace them, just a quick fix if someone knows one.

Thanks!

theres a tsb for that concern but if you go to the dealer there gonna want to sell you seatbelts. because you have to take them out anyway just to fix them.

You can try pulling the seatbelt all the way out & giving them a good cleaning wipe with a damp rag.
