car failed emissions test
I have a 2000 mustang and took it to have it inspected and have the emissions test done...the car passed inspection but failed the emissions test,,,said it wasnt ready...havent unhooked anything so why does the computer say that??? Am new here so I;m not sure where to put this.

I'm not really sure what you mean...but if you failed the emissions test just go to auto zone etc. and get a bottle of G2P (guaranteed to pass). Pour it in a tank of gas...drive until about 1/4 tank left...and go PASS your emissions. It's cheap and it works...trust me I used it on my gf mustang to pass a sniffer test with fairly big cam, heads, lt's,no cats, smog, etc...good thing the guy never looked to see if anything was there..but it works to pass the test itself
OBD II, no emissions test. They just check the computer for codes.

Have you disconnected the battery or retuned the computer before you took it in?
