rear end ( axles )

i have a V6 manual trans in my stang with a Vortech going in it. my question is this:

SHould I change out the rear end prior to going to the track? change the gears?
please answer my question.

yeah all, she should have a 7.5 now, we are thinking of putting in a 8.8, should we do that first?

well concidering it's not a posi..what would you think? yes!

definitely swap in a 8.8 rear end with a posi differential which will be the smart thing to do now and safer in the long run too.

ok thanks roundman. whew finally a real answer. it would be embarrassing to throw out the rearend at the dragstrip...lol

A S/Ced V6 did that at our strip... no one laughed, we all helped him out and gave him props for having enough HP to break it! But he did have a limited slip in the 7.5

Supercharing a V6......[sm=lame.gif] LOL. Get a 8.8 rear end for sure.
