Go accufab or C&L for the plenum and Accufab or BBk for the TB. Everyone ion here will tell you 4.10's and nothing less. I'm about to order 3.73's for my auto becaue FRPP doesn't make a 3.90 gear. I wish they did. It's a happy medium. But definitely go Ford Racing for your gears, supposed to be the easiet/cheapest to install and no gear whine. Good stuff. Hope this helps....

Yeah, get the C&L plenum and the accufab TB. I have the C&L and love it.

UPR is also making a plenum that looks exactly like the C&L for about $40.00 less. I have the C&L with BBK 75mm TB, my friend has the Accufab plenum with Accufab TB and we can't tell much difference between the two performance wise.

i too am interested in a new throttle body and plenum. i went to a garage to ask how much to install the tb, plenum, cold air, and he was trying to tell me that i dont want to do all that 'cause i would also need the lower plenum and some kind of goofy "kit" that's gonna cost about 2,300. he basicly blew me off and went back to work. but this is the first time anyone has ever said anything like that before.

I'm not sure what that guy is talking about, probably Carbeurated, but you don't need to alter anything on the intake tract if you are just using bolt ons. I would suggest staying away from that shop, and warn your friends/family. All too often, I've seen shops gouge people over simple modifications.

Do you have a small set of tools? Even if you don't have much experience with cars, you can still do these simple modifications with the assistance of someone who either has experience, or with lots of pictures/diagrams. I'm a very visual learner, and would rather have pictures of orientation and possibly someone who knows more than I do about cars with me.. Plus another set of eyes can pick up on things you may have missed (i.e. Sensors, vaccuum hoses, etc..).

Hopefully that helps.. Just my $.02

Alright here is the deal. Do not pay a garage to install a TB, a plenum or a cold air. Honestly, it's not that hard at all. These parts are all bolt on which means you can do it with a couple of tools. There are many mechanics out there that only want to do basic, my car wont work right, mainteince and in order to blow you off, they make some rediculous claim at what it will cost. If you decide to go through with it anyway, they make a fortune. Otherwise, they dont want to deal with it. My suggestion, put those parts on yourself and find another garage that likes doing mod work for the future.
