Im wondering how much a new rotating assembally will cost me. I would do all the work. I have a basic set of tools. Nothing spacial really. What kind of $$$ am i lookin at. Its a 302 5.0 in a 91. Please help.

So your going to assemble the short block with a "basic set of tools" or are you going to buy a a short block already assembled? Check around on the net there are palces lie DSS that sell everything you need and have prices tight on their sites.

 

haha. i meant that i dont have anything special like a car lift. I have an engine lift and everything else any other garage junkie has. Thanks for the site.

Do you have ring file, ring spreder, dial indicatior,a good tq wrench etc.? Assembly of a short block needs some special tools to be done right. You could guess but I would'nt chance it.

 

i dont have those tools. Thats what i meant. Im only 17 and have been messin around with go carts and stuff similar. Where can i get those as well. I cant seem to find the DSS. Can you send me a link?
