Air Bag Light stays on, it doesn't blink.
Afew years ago when we were getting our '94 gt ready for sale we took the car to a detailing shop and when we got it back the air bag light was on and stayed on all the time. When I brought the car to ford the mechanic explained that the sensors are constantly sending signal back and forth to the computer and that a mechanical relay part (sorry I don't recall which ones it was a couple of years ago) will eventially burnt out and trigger the light.
I never bought this story my theory is that somehow the sensor was triggered but not enough to deploy the airbag, either with a really low speed "bump" or excessive cleaning from a power washer??????

It could be a clock spring it is the most common failure item on air bag systems. Also when the light comes on or flashes the air bag will not deploy it just means there is a prblem in the system it will not deploy you just dont have air bags till you fix it.
Also if I just wanted the light to stay off which fuse would I take out? Or can I take a fuse out and not have it affect the rest of the instrument panel? Or is there a place I can unhook the air bag sensor?
