The mac headers will rust up on you. Make sure you get ceramic ones or stainless steel.

cermaic almost doubles the price of headers but yeah mac are one of the cheaper headers out there i would suggest them, get them power coated if you dont like the rust? and the o/r pipe will sound much better IMO

Almost everybody I've talked to on the forums have said LTs are the way to go with headers. I didn't have the money to get LTs right now so I would have to switch out the h pipe if I got them. Are shorties that much worse that LTs?

no shorties are not that much worse than long tubes, especially the equal length ones. the only real difference in HP with long tubes vs shorties is at the higher rpms and you don't spend that much time up there on the street, so why spend the extra cash and hassle of installing long tubes when you can get 95% of the benefits from easy to install shorties with an off road H pipe????

You got me, just everyone I've talked to has insisted on LTs.

From what I have read on these forums most people say shorties are good for only like 5rwhp and LTs are like 15-20rwhp. I still have stock manifolds for now. I am only reposting what I read
