still trying
ok my car is smoking out both sides of the car and there is nothing major wrong with it. it is the emissions system. so i replaced the egr gasket, the purge valve, and the purge valve control soleniod. still smokes. i do have two bad o2 sensors. i have the iac mod on the car. and when i listen to the engine compartment i hear a hissing sound coming from the lid on the antifreeze cap. it does have a bad gorment around the pcv valve. does any thing sound wrong or would anything fix or affect this problem. my canister is not leaking no gas. thanks
Could be running rich, extremely rich. Have you pressure tested your cooling system, may have blown head gasket. How do the plugs look? What is the timing set at? What is this IAC mod? Pull the dipstick and see if your oil looks milky or has water in it.
i have not pressure tested the cooling system,i really dont know about the timing i dont think its off that bad. and the iac mod is a gasket with a smaller hole to make the rpms fall fasterm they said you could smell alittle gas that way, which i smell gas alot real bad. and there is no blown head gasket, and no milky oil
how do you know it's emissions? white smoke means you're burning water water, i believe.
try your egr gaskets. there could be water leaking into the TB. I had that problem...
or you just seafoamed your engine and it's still burning it. lol
that stuff produced wonderfully white smoke

sounds like a head gasket. White smoke means its burning water and the hissing from the radiator cap is probably air getting in the cooling system from engine compression. Do you have to add water to the radiator often?
when i hooked it up it popped up codes for the whole emission system and then the o2 sensors, and my egr valve gaskets are fine they are brand new, no leaks, and i dont have to add water at all. and what is seafoam. thanks
lol no seamfoam them. it's stuff you can get at just about any autoparts store. you suck it up through the brake booster vac line, dump it in your oil or in your gas tank.
anyways... it gets rid of carbon buildup and such. good stuff. my car was pinging and i used it and now it runs much much better.
